Unknown gunmen k!ll Ogun government accountant, cart away millions An accountant with the Ogun State Government, Taiwo Oyekanmi, has been shot de@d by unknown gunmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday. The gunmen also carted away millions of naira belonging to the Ogun State Government during attack. According to reports, Oyekanmi, the Director of Finance at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, had picked up an undisclosed amount of money from a branch of Fidelity bank in Abeokuta, and was heading back to the office when he was waylaid by the gunmen. Sources said the hooded gunmen, about five of them, intercepted the home-made bullion van while ascending the overhead bridge at Kuto and opened fire on the accountant. NSCDC officers shóót Abuja students during examination Three personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have been detained for shóóting two students of Senior Secondary School, Life Camp, within the Jabi and Gwarinpa areas of the Federal Capital Territory. Supreme Court extends use of old naira notes The Supreme Court has ruled that both the old and the redesigned Naira banknotes remain valid legal tenders in the country beyond December 31. The apex court, in a ruling by a seven-man panel led by Justice Inyang Okoro, on Wednesday, said the banknotes should remain in circulation, pending when the Federal Government, after due consultation with relevant stakeholders, takes a decision on the matter. It made the order after hearing an application that was moved on behalf of the federal government by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN. In the video, the boy is seen laughing and boasting about how he assaulted a girl. He goes on to describe the assault in detail, using graphic and offensive language.  The video has caused widespread shock and anger among Nigerians, with many calling for the boy to be brought to justice.
