The Meaning of Ten Virgins. 
The bridegroom is Christ. We are the bride of Christ. The wedding feast is heaven. The Book of Revelation calls the Feast "the marriage of lamb." (Rev 19:7). What will be written on his wedding robe is "King of Kings and Lord of lords" (19.16). The text speaks of five wise virgins because the bride of Christ must be glorious, and without wrinkle, she should be spotless, holy and unblemished (Eph 5:27). The bride of Christ must be a wise virgin. Not just any type of virgin because a virgin could be someone who is naïve, innocent, lacking experience in a particular issue. Therefore, human virginity is for both male and female. It is not for girls alone. Not at all. The men who are "in Christ" should also be wise virgins; that is, being chaste. Chastity is for both marriage and unmarried, male and female. Virginity is not for girls alone. Young men will often say. "I want to marry a virgin." But is the young man a virgin? Why do you want the girls to be wise virgins while the boys are foolish virgins? It is unfair to expect only the girls to be wise virgins. The expression is not to disvirgin a person. It is to deflower a person. Thus, who deflowered the girls?

The conclusion is "stay awake" (Matt 25:13). Stay awake does not mean you should not sleep. Not at all. It means be prepared at all times. The end time could be any day. Do not be unwise but wise children of God. The day of the Lord will be like the day of Noah, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving into marriage until the day Noah entered into the ark and the flood came and destroyed them (Lk 17:26-27).
