SOUND IT ALOUD! 📢 Ehe! Spread the good news! Strike the aja of Ina Aja! Roll the ikoro of Amagbo! This time, it's not war; It's a beam of hope! O! The shackles are torn! The chains are broken! The chips are down! The bondage is gone! And the horizon glistens! Shout it on Ugwuekeocha, So Ali Ugwelu can hear; Declare it atop Ugwu Iyere, So our sisters can rejoice with us; Stand on Ugwu Ekalagbo, So all Ekoli will know. Tell the fishes that they can swim again in Olo pool; Tell the birds to cheer up and unfold their crumpled wings; Tell our friends in the jungle that the hunters are gone; Tell them to thank heaven who has given them this victory. Now, Ibuo, Emeziebiri and Ali Ugwelu can expect the comeback of their estranged sons and daughters; Now, every youth will enjoy equal right to the streets of Ekoli; Now, our feet will pound bravely on Olo Ugwuoko again. Ekoli, I pray for you: May you use this freedom well. May you never again throw yourself into self-imposed prison in the whims and caprices of a man or family.
