FG vows to end North's insecurity
The federal government has affirmed its unwavering commitment to tackling the prevailing security challenges in the northern region of the country.

In a bold declaration, the government has pledged to restore peace and tranquility, enabling the resumption of normal life for the populace.

This was made known by the Minister of State Defence, who is also a former governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawlle, while fielding questions from journalists at his residence in Maradun town, the headquarters of Maradun local government, Sunday.

According to him, the insecurity will soon be a matter of history in the country, adding that, all the necessary equipment had been provided by the federal government through the Ministry of Defence to support the military in the fight against banditry and other terrorism acts in the country.

“Our ministry has the highest budgetary allocation than other federal ministries and all the necessary supporting equipment have been provided by the federal government to tackle the insecurity in the country,” he assured.

He pointed out that, plans were underway by the ministry of defence to go round all the insecurity-prone states on an assessment tour on modalities and technicalities for addressing security issues in the country.

Matawalle urged Nigerians to remain calm and law abiding, stressing that the federal government under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to ensuring the restoration of peace across the country.
