BREAKING: FG, meets NLC,TUC over nationwide strike

The federal government of Nigeria is currently meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) over the ongoing indefinite nationwide strike.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Bako Lalong, and Minister of State for Employment, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyeajeocha, are in attendance in the meeting holding at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

Also, in attendance are labour leaders led by TUC President, Festus Osifo, NLC Secretary General, Emmanuel Ugboaja, and other Labour leaders.

The meeting comes following the indefinite nationwide strike embarked upon by the Organised Labour to protest the arrest and brutalisation of NLC President, Joe Ajaero, allegedly by Policemen, in Owerri, Imo state on November 1, 2023.
