Breaking: Appeal Court sacks Plateau Gov, declares APC candidate winner

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has invalidated the election of Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State, ruling that he was not validly sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

The three-member panel unanimously held that the appellant, Nentawe Goshwe of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was successful in asserting that Muftwang's sponsorship by the PDP did not comply with constitutional provisions. 

The panel set aside the judgment of the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Muftwang and issue a new one to Goshwe.

Ondo: Why Aiyedatiwa was asked to write resignation letter – Speaker The Speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, has given the reason behind the resignation letter which the deputy governor of the state, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was asked to write.
