Breaking: Cl@sh erupts between Accord Party, APC agents at Bayelsa collation centre

The Bayelsa Collation Centre in Yenogoa became a scene of intense conflict as Accord Party and All Progressives Congress (APC) agents fiercely cl@shed over contentious election results from various local government areas in the state.

When the collation resumed on Monday, the collation officer for the Brass local government area announced the results that showed that the APC won in Brass with 18,431 votes compared to the 12,602 of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, after the announcement of the results, party agents, including those of APC and PDP, disagreed on the reported violence in the local government.

The commotion almost led to a fisticuff until security officials intervened.

The situation prompted the intervention of the police, who were called in to maintain order at the collation centre.
