JUST IN: Abba Yusuf heads to Supreme Court to challenge his removal from office 

Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, says he has informed his lawyers to proceed to the supreme court regarding the judgement of the court of appeal.

On Friday, the court of appeal sitting in Abuja affirmed the verdict of the Kano state governorship election petition tribunal.

The tribunal had sacked Yusuf, candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), as governor of the state.

Ondo: Why Aiyedatiwa was asked to write resignation letter – Speaker The Speaker of the Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, has given the reason behind the resignation letter which the deputy governor of the state, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was asked to write. Oladiji made the clarification while speaking at the plenary. According to him, the aforesaid move was a condition to halt Aiyedatiwa’s impeachment.
